    Using Your RC Responsibly

    Overview
RC vehicle safety involves protecting yourself, the operator, and bystanders by selecting an appropriate, safe driving location like an open field or RC track, and wearing protective gear like eye protection. It also includes maintaining your vehicle with regular inspections, managing batteries properly to prevent fires and swelling, and ensuring children use them with adult supervision in controlled environments.
    For the Operator & Bystanders
    • Wear Protective Gear:Always wear eye protection or a helmet, especially when operating high-speed models, to guard against flying debris.
    • Choose the Right Location Drive in open, clear areas like RC tracks or empty sports fields, avoiding crowded streets, parks, and areas with pets or small children.
    • Maintain Awareness:Stay alert to your surroundings and keep a safe distance from obstacles, walls, and other people to prevent injuries or damage.
    • Use Adult Supervision:For kids, an adult must be present to supervise and ensure safe play.
    • Lower Speeds:Reduce the vehicle's speed when kids or pets are nearby.
    For the Vehicle & Battery
    • Inspect Your Vehicle:Regularly check for loose screws, worn tires, or cracked suspension after each run.
    • Manage Batteries Safely:
      • Do not mix old and new or different types of batteries.
      • Always disconnect batteries after use to prevent slow discharge and swelling.
      • Store batteries in a fire-safe bag away from children.
      • Inspect batteries for any damage or swelling; dispose of damaged batteries properly.
    • Cool Down Motors:Allow the motor to cool before touching it, as it can get very hot.
    General Safety Practices
    • Read the Manual:Always refer to your vehicle's instruction manual for specific cautions and guidelines.
    • Understand the Power:Remember that hobby-grade RC vehicles are not toys and can accelerate to high speeds, posing a significant risk if not handled with caution.
