The CVSA, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, has made August 24-30, 2025 the dates for the annual safety blitz.
The safety blitz will focus on the condition of brake drums and rotors on all commercial vehicles to identify and correct violations that could impact stopping power and/or cause road hazards.

Focus:Inspections will emphasize the condition and structural integrity of brake drums and rotors
Purpose: To reduce the number of brake related violations and improve road safety
Scope: Enforcement officers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico will conduct increased inspections
Preparations: Drivers, fleet managers, and mechanics should focus on inspecting for cracks, wear, and other defects in brake drums and rotors.
