ELDs That Are Non-Compliant

The FMCSA maintains a list of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) that have been removed from the registered list due to non-compliance with the ELD Rule's technical specifications

Based on recent FMCSA announcements, the following ELDs have been removed from the list of registered ELDs:

- ELDX
- Gorilla Safety Compact ELD
- HCSS ELD
- LB Technologies FleetTrack HOS
- Simplex ELD 2GO
- Trucker Path ELD Pro

Note: If an ELD is found to be non-compliant after it is in use, motor carriers have 8 days from the time they are notified to replace their non-compliant device with a compliant one. However, according to an article published on May 12, 2025, concerning the removal of eight specific devices (including AllwaysTrack, Command Alkon Trackit, and others), the FMCSA has extended the replacement period to 60 days.
It is recommended that motor carriers regularly check the FMCSA's website for the most up-to-date list of registered and revoked ELDs. Drivers and carriers are responsible for knowing and complying with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs)..
